Rules & Scoring System

Point System

• Each game will have a total of 10 points awarded.

• 2 points will be awarded to a team for winning a period, A tie in a period is 1 point for each team. Every period counts!

• 4 points will be awarded to the winner of the game. No points are awarded for a shoot-out loss. A shoot-out win is 4 points.

• For clarification: A winning team will always recieve at least 6 points and at most 10 points. A losing team will always recieve at least 0 points and at most 4 points.

• For the fourth round of games, the top 2 teams will be matched, and then the 3rd and 4th place teams matched, the 5th and 6th placed teams matched, and finally the 7th and 8th placed teams matched for the fourth and final games.

• After all the games are played (4 for each team), the Champion for the tourney will be determined by the points system (most points wins); if a tie in points occurs the tie will be decided by the plus/minus record, then the tournament Champion will be the team that had the least amount of penalties.

• The trphoies will be presented at the after party following the last game.

Trophies

• Each game will have an "Impact Player of the Game" given to the most entertaining player.

• An MVP trophy will be given to "The Best Goaltender" after the final on Sunday.

• The Daryle Ell Memorial Trophy goes to "The Highest Impact Player" for the tournament.

• The 4 team trophies are: 1. The Cup 2. Silver Medal Trophy 3. The Bronze Medal Trophy 4. The Tinfoil Medal Trophy

• All recognition is determined by the tournament organizer and referees.
